DRM Digital Radio Services In FM Band – Suggested India Roadmap – IEEE Broadcast Technology

The Honorary Chairman of the India DRM Platform, Mr Yogendra Pal makes the case for extending the DRM standard to the FM space in India in the first 2024 issue of the IEEE magazine. One of the reasons given by the author is that DRM is a high-quality and feature-enhanced digital replacement for the former analogue radio broadcasting standards for AM and FM; as such it can be operated with the same channelling and spectrum allocations as currently employed. To find out more of Mr Pal’s arguments please read the article: IEEE Broadcast Technology (page 24 and 25).

In June 2024, the Indian magazine Broadcast and Cablesat also published the article.
